Roadmap for Increasing FDI in Indian Textile Industry

Wazir undertook an intensive study in collaboration with various stakeholders to create a roadmap for increasing FDI in the Textile and Apparel Sector. Based on the roadmap we worked closely with Central Government Departments, Textile and Apparel Companies, and Industry bodies to promote India as an attractive investment destination

Project Background

The Ministry of Textiles engaged Wazir to study the past (10 years) and current scenario of FDI including source and segment-wise details, the flow of FDI state-wise, the major impediments, the steps taken by the government in India, and the role played by FDI in other countries.

Results Delivered

Wazir presented a comprehensive study and suggested strategy for improving FDI in Indian T&A sector like policy advocacy with other Central Government Departments, Global Investor Awareness Creation to increase the visibility of Ministry of Textile as an attractive foreign investment destination, Overseas Investment Promotion Mission, etc.
