About the Client

A leading textile manufacturer and pioneer of apparel brands and retail space in India, along with a diverse portfolio of national and international brands through licensing agreements, JVs and own brand development. They were in search of a licensing partner for few of their brands in certain categories.

Project Objectives:

The project objective was to help the client in identifying, evaluating, and selecting the right licensing partner. Key aspects involved:

    1. Criteria for Identifying and evaluating potential partners
    2. Negotiations and finalization of terms of partnership

Deliverables:

1. Identifying, shortlisting, and approaching the most suitable licensing companies for partnership

  1. Prepared a long list of potential companies
  2. Developed detailed profiles and performed a SWOT analysis of each selected company
  3. Created a short list of companies, basis-specific criteria, and evaluation parameters as developed in discussions with the client

2. Approached and solicited their interest

  1. Shared brand teaser with potential partners
  2. Addressed follow-up queries

3. Facilitated meetings, negotiations, and finalization of terms concluding with the signing of the license agreement
