The client was a leading food brand of India and sought market expansion of its product basket in newer geographies of Asia and Africa.
Team’s Scope of Work:
Detailed review of fast-growing markets in Asia and Africa for the client’s product line
Assessment of shortlisted markets in terms of current demand & future projections, competition assessment, quality paraments, regulations, banking, supply chain, logistics and manpower availability among others
Drafting a ‘Roll Out’ Plan with identification of local partners for various operational and supply chain categories
Helped client resolve two key questions –
Launch same brand or new one
Source from its existing manufacturing base in India v/s more proximate sourcing base
Outcome:
With all ground work done, the client plans to start operations in new markets by Q3 of 2020
